On Thursday, I went to visit Austin Thomas in her studio and was treated to tea, wasabi crackers, and of course, art. Her studio was nicely laid out with a long work table and all the collages she’s made in the last few years up on the walls. I had met her a while ago at her exhibition/salon space, Pocket Utopia, but this was my first chance to see her “collected” work.

The black&white photos are of her “perch” social sculptures, the ideas for which led eventually to the opening of Pocket Utopia.

Some work neatly packed up for her upcoming show, “Practice Space”, at Kris Graves Projects.
